Volunteer Program

promotes and encourages community spirit by providing a range of support and advocacy, generating equal access to society’s resources.

Wyong Neighbourhood Centre would not exist without the assistance and support of our volunteers.

Volunteers are vital components of our staffing structure who provide additional assistance across the whole of the organisation. Our volunteers who work across the organisation are trained to cover reception, administration and clerical duties, emergency relief interviews, as well as assistance with the production of our quarterly newsletters and advertising material

In addition to the requirements of some funding bodies regarding volunteers, they play an important role in our organisation which in turn offers the opportunity to gain work skills and experiences and the chance to 'give back to their community', as many people want to do.

As part of our volunteer structure and assisting community members gain transferable and employability skills, we also support the 'Work for the Dole' program.
